About Janet McCormick, Author

Janet McCormick is a white woman with short white hair, she is wearing white sweater and blue collar shirt.

Hello, I’m Janet McCormick. After retiring as an instructional designer, I relocated to Tucson, Arizona, with its beautiful mountains and distinctive Sonoran Desert. The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, and its period of extended isolation, became the unexpected catalyst for a new chapter in my life. When things began to return to normal and schools reopened, it became apparent that there were significant challenges for our new preschool and kindergarten children. With experience in education and five years serving as a preschool director, I knew these children needed help finding their voices when they returned to the classroom. This marked the beginning of my writing interactive children’s stories. It has been quite a journey, some of which I have shared in my blog this month. The best part…there’s no end in sight.
